Black Horse Review is an international, online literary magazine that publishes fiction, poetry, and creative non-fiction by published and unpublished writers. At the Black Horse Review, we are committed to bringing into view a generation of honest and fearless writers who share a common love for beauty, language, and deep, meaningful contemplation.
While we consider ourselves fortunate to be witnessing a turning point in current literature that embraces new voices and cultures, we recognize that narratives representing minorities do not receive enough attention or acclaim. Hence, through the stories and poems we publish, we strive to illuminate the sophistication of the human experience as a whole and diversify the voice of current literature.
General Guidelines:
- We accept simultaneous submissions.
- Your work must be original.
- You are welcome to send multiple submissions per reading period.

Writers will receive extensive in-line commentary on their work from our editor. This feedback will be detailed and specific, addressing various aspects of your work including structure, style, character development, and other key elements. Our goal is to support you in refining and strengthening your piece.
